Wow! Great pieces- interesting, informative, and they bring the people of Sudan into focus… I didn’t expect to enjoy the postcard piece as much as I did; just hearing the personal enthusiam about a movie I knew made me feel more connected with a person living 6000 miles away… the distance seemed to shrink and I felt a commonality of interest. The piece about ethnic identity was surprising. Who would think that ethnic identity would/could shift? And if so, how can ethnic violence be so intense? It speaks to the power of political manipulation, I suppose. Anyway, thanks to you amazing folks, amazing, inspired, sleep-deprived folks. Thank you for your fabulous work!
